To celebrate the launch of the second iteration of the Calyx™, we took over COMMUNE at Goodhood for a morning of growing things.
Having spent the last few months exploring the world of gardening, we wanted to bring that side of the Calyx™ campaign to life. Not everyone has access to a big garden, but that doesn't mean you can't grow something yourself, so we found out how.

Together with Jack from Jack's Patch, we invited friends of the brand to get their hands dirty and learn a few things along the way. We started with planting radish and broccoli microgreens into trays, moved on to growing sunflowers and pea shoots in repurposed Oatly cartons, then got stuck into cultivating a variety of mushrooms in buckets. All things that can be grown at home with relatively little space or equipment.
We finished with a meal prepared by the chef otherwise known as 'The Gatherer', incorporating homegrown ingredients and bringing the whole process from growing to eating full circle. There was plenty of coffee, mushroom chai and, of course, an opportunity to get a closer look at the new Calyx™ and the Vibram technology behind it.
A big thank you to everyone who came down, Jack for sharing his knowledge, and the teams at Goodhood and COMMUNE for having us.
Now we just need to see how everyone's microgreens are getting on.
Time to get your hands dirty.
