Product Focus: The Stinger

First introduced at the start of 2025, the Stinger Set was designed as a lightweight, breathable tracksuit for everyday activity. It didn’t take long before it was adopted by hikers and runners alike, quickly becoming a PMO staple.

With a total weight of just 165g, the Stinger positioned itself as a serious contender within the lightweight performance category. Since its release, our design team has continued to refine every detail, from fabric selection and zip placement to panel construction that moves with the body. Each improvement has been applied to this season’s iteration of the jacket.

Performance & Fabric

At its core is Dermizax™, the original Japanese waterproof and breathable membrane technology from Toray, one of our key fabric partners. Engineered for unpredictable conditions, it delivers a 20,000mm waterproof rating and exceptional breathability, allowing moisture vapour to escape without sacrificing warmth.

The result: a balanced microclimate that keeps your body comfortable through high-output activity and heavy storms alike. The fabric’s flexibility also offers unrestricted movement, making it ideal for everything from trail ascents to urban commutes.

How to Use It

The Stinger was built for all sports.

• Everyday wear: Its minimal silhouette and low weight make it an easy layer for city use or travel.
• Running & training: Breathable enough for high-output sessions and resistant to rain and wind.
• Hiking & trekking: Durable against abrasion and pack straps, keeping you protected in unpredictable weather.
• Layering system: Works perfectly over a base layer or under an insulated shell.

Care & Maintenance

Proper care will extend the life of your Stinger and maintain its technical performance:

1. Machine wash cold (30°C) with a gentle technical detergent (we recommend NIKWAX) avoid fabric softeners or bleach.
2. Rinse thoroughly to remove detergent residue, which can affect breathability.
3. Tumble dry low or line dry; heat helps reactivate the waterproof finish.
4. Reproof periodically with a spray-on DWR treatment to restore water beading after extended use.

Avoid prolonged compression or storage while wet, and store it in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight.
